Hungarian Post Insurance has released its first bank card with Peak’s Prometheus platform

After almost a year of product development, Hungarian Post Insurance has introduced hello card: a Mastercard based payment instrument attached to their travel insurance solution “hello Traveler”. The product was built using Peak’s Prometheus card issuing platform.

In 2018 Hungarian Post Insurance has introduced hello, their insurtech solution, aimed to provide technology-based insurance solutions for the next generations. They offer two product lines on their website – https://hello.hu -: “hello Cyclist” offering full coverage insurance for bikers and “hello Traveler”, which offers different kinds of travel insurance.

The hello card has been introduced along with “hello Traveler” as an additional product: a prepaid Mastercard posted to the cardholders within a few days after ordering it through hello’s dedicated web page without paying any fees. Customers returning home after a trip without any damage can request 50% of the insurance fee back to the card.

“This product is the outcome of the fintech sector getting more and more mature, evidencing that certain participants on the market can work with fintech companies. We are proud that Peak has reached its phase to work with a highly reputable company such as Hungarian Post Insurance.” – Suppan Márton, founder of Peak

Cardholders have access to multiple platforms (a hello branded web surface and the Peakwallet mobile app) to check their balance, history, activate or block their cards, and many more useful functions.

Peak’s Prometheus platform is a Bank-as-a-Service platform dedicated to financial institutions, TELCOs, malls, and retail chains. By using this solution, Peak’s partners can create their digital payment solutions and card programs.
